A Holiday Party!

Long Beach, CA – For the past 10 years the toast of the holiday season is one of the most prestigious dog shows in the world – the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship dog show. While the Westminster Kennel Club dog show is flowing with all the pomp and circumstance of New York City, the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship has all the flash and glitz expected of a Hollywood red carpet premier. The 2010 Eukanuba or “Euk”, as it is affectionately known ringside, promised to be a great one!

The AKC/Eukanuba National Championship is an invitation-only dog show that brings together top dogs, their owners, and their handlers from around the globe that participate in Obedience, Agility, Dock Dog, Conformation, and World Challenge events. This year 3,233 dogs entered and competed for $225,000 in prize money. It was an exciting event with lots for all to see.

Retrievers made out like bandits this year at the 2010 AKC/Eukanuba National Championship by taking home a lion’s share of hardware!

Hi, I am Toni Leitão! I am one of the people who came up with this crazy idea for Retriever Life. Retrievers are my life and passion. Oh and I like long walks in the park (especially in the rain) and watching a movie with my Labrador "pillow".
